How statewide coverage works
Aging Safely Baths has served customers since 2012 and ships walk-in tubs supply-only throughout Texas, with phone tech support for your installer. Coordinated installation is scheduled where installers are available. The fastest way to know what applies at your address is to call 1-888-779-2284.
Houston area
Houston, Harris County and the surrounding suburbs have their own dedicated site with city pages, Houston permit notes and local resources. If you live there, visit our sister site Walk In Tubs Houston.
Statewide programs, wherever you live
- Texas Area Agencies on Aging: 28 agencies, one statewide number, 1-800-252-9240.
- STAR+PLUS minor home modifications for eligible Medicaid members.
- VA HISA, SHA and SAH grants through each region's VA health system.
- TDHCA Amy Young Barrier Removal grants through local administrators.
Licensing is statewide, permits are local
Plumbers are licensed by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners and electricians by TDLR, everywhere in the state. Permits are set by each city or county. Our licensing guide explains the questions to ask.
Other parts of Texas
Lubbock, Amarillo, Midland-Odessa, Abilene, Waco, Tyler, Corpus Christi, Beaumont and the many towns in between are all part of Texas, and so are you. Call and we will explain the options for your area.
Why we built regional pages
Texas regions differ in ways that change a bathroom project: who runs the local aging agency, which VA health system you use, how old the houses are, whether you fight freezes, hard water or humidity, and how far the nearest installer is. Each regional guide covers those details so you can make a plan before you call.
How to read the regional guides
Each one opens with an honest note about coverage, then walks through local housing, weather, permits and agencies, and ends with answers to common regional questions. If your area is not listed, the statewide guides apply to you just the same.
